The climbing season runs from April to October. To start off day two, I would recommend walking to Yosemite Village to grab some coffee at Degnans Kitchen. For those with the time and stamina, Clouds Rest is a great option and will take you to the top of the largest granite dome in the park. Just after, take a left at the junction to stay on the Mist Trail and start climbing up steep granite steps. However, they will all be some distance from the valley, with a drive time of an hour in some cases. Spring is the best time to visit to see waterfalls at their fullest. Temperatures will drop, so bring layers. If youre visiting between May and July, rafting along the Merced River is a non-strenuous yet scenic way to explore the park.
