I will visit Sobo for sure !! The head chef seems exceptionally proud of what he has created, and so he should be! We went back to ask for sauce as we forgot and they gave it to us for free! I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best sushi restaurants i have ever eaten in. If you like quality fish and chips then give them a tryyou will not regret it!! The wine glasses were just cheap thick ones. Service was great. The fish was delicious, moist but not greasy and the chips were just right.

The chips were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside - just as I like them! I was expecting decent-sized tender chunks but that certainly was not the case. Since childhood whenever I came to Bournemouth beach, I had always wanted to come here. Very knowledgeable sushi chef and very friendly staff! The Fish was beautifully cooked, the chips were well seasoned and the portion size was perfect. However, they decided to stick to their rules. You will be refused entry if not dressed in smart casual attire. Nobody come to us and we felt abandoned. Best sushi I have ever tried, nice pace of plate delivery and good presentation. I was going to go to Rickys (also fabulous) but too much of a queue there. Complete disappointment. We discussed a couple of requirements for the evening and after I was left struggling to remember a time ever, where i have received such a personal high level of Customer Service. The food was great, however we waited an hour and a half for our mains. 20 minutes late. The beans was probably a size of 2 table spoons and the squid was flavourless. The battered sausage, my choice today, was good quality, tasty and very well cooked. Batter is not crispy and regular cod 8.50 is a bit small but everything is alright! To charge 7.95 for an affogato (single espresso and vanilla ice cream) I thought was outrageous but, all in all a good experience.

Everything is put on to cook as you order so it's as fresh and hot as can be. The food was ok, but they've stopped doing coffee & only have revolting tea, a peculiar yogurt drink & bottled water or fizzy drinks, which kind of spoiled the whole thing.

The duck egg was undercooked with some of the egg white still raw and the asparagus was bitter. This arrived dressed which isnt what we wanted. I asked to bring it to us kindly, and after 5 minutes the wine arrived, and yet I asked about the sparkling water which took again 5 minutes to arrive (I noticed the waiters were standing and probably somehow the duties weren't been communicated properly).Water arrived and we wait for our mains again 15-20 minutes (quite good timing) we had linguine and sea bream sharing. One set of customers got up and left without paying. Food was outstanding, value for money, considering what it is. Killed my dreams. I definitely will not be getting fish & chips from here again because of what I've mentioned above, but mostly because they have increased their prices by a ridiculous amount, I know costs are on the increase but charging an extra 1.50 per portion of fish is unacceptable, and I can get better quality & cheaper In a cafe!! Our passionate chefs create an array of delicious dishes sourced from fresh, local produce, and our contemporary surroundings and friendly and personable staff will make you feel most welcome. It was listed at 24.50 but the bill came at 27.50. The char siu pork belly nibble I ordered was definitely not what I was expecting.

All the staff were helpful and attentive. Delicious exotic food with affordable prices. The pork belly was far from it, lacking the depth and balance of flavour associated with char siu dishes.

The whole crab dish is the go to dish if you ever attend.

There are many Fish and Chip shops in south coast and fortunate to have one of the best on door step. Since I last tried this restaurant which was 2 Years ago the food and services have massively improved. Arbor wants to be seen as environmentally friendly and sustainable restaurant, careful about their food miles (as they mention on their website), however, I was surprised to see that their dishes had mackerel caught on the Cornish coast (which is not so close to Bournemouth). Staff were very friendly and attentive, Food was really good staff where really helpful loved listening to a live pianist. Only recently changed hands again - not going back again! The side dish came out first, then the mains but the appetiser never arrived. Staff very attentive and polite. Me and the wife have a large fish and normal chips and split it between the two of us. AMAZING. Lovely servers who were very aware of allergies! At initial time of booking I was contacted shortly after by Matt, the owner of this fine establishment and he opened a communication channel via Email. Our young waiter Ed was efficient and welcoming. This is the best chip shop for miles around and I look forward to having more. Seeing your food professionally made for you in the center of the restaurant is mesmerising and it tastes as good as it looks. The presentation was brilliant but unfortunately not all dishes lived up to the hype. Had the Fruits de Mer, good quality produce and good value for money. Ordered 2 battered sausages one large chips and chicken burger waited 25mins or food, until I asked where it was it was then quickly produced, , this being after I ordered to be told it did not take cards!! These delicious dishes are served in contemporary surroundings by our warm and friendly staff. We had an enjoyable dinner. Pricy but good quality - cash only - will return! I have eaten and cooked pork in a char siu style which usually involves a marinade made of red fermented tofu, Shaoxing wine and five spice powder among others. My husband ate fish and I ate Chinese. Wanted fish and peas and was told it was "fish & chips". Excellent food and excellent service.. We loved everything about this place. Both the fries and the young potatoes are quite tasty. . The fish batter was nice and crunchy with the fish tasting very fresh. I've tried a few others and Pokesdown chippy is still family favourite one. This wasn't a bad experience and therefore I still recommend.

I wasnt disappointedits as good as it ever was..and fish is skinless too so less grease. Add to this the great view of the beach and the sea from the windows and it was a very enjoyable evening. Art Sushi was simply amazing and a great option for an anniversary dinner.
