Everyone is friendly Took some awesome pictures. I love zoos and this one did not disappoint. A lot of people who don't know how to share the trail. The trail has a steep decline which winds often and ends at a very large and old sequoia tree as well as many other beautiful sequoias.
Thank you for traveling with us. To the east, Bearizona Wildlife Park has bears, mountain goats, bison and birds of prey. Easy to drive through without getting lost and I hope to return one day to camp just for one night. Death Valley visitors who are in a hurry quite often dont make the time for it, but I found the crater fascinating.
Its also one of the more popular trails inside of the park since its easy to get to and easy to hike. The trail is 0.5 miles each way, 1 mile round trip, and is fairly easy as long as there hasnt been a recent super-heavy snow, in which case you might need snowshoes.

I loved this "trail." You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund. Great place to stop in and eat as well as gawk at all the wall and ceiling decorations. Who cares, there are good restaurants around, Del Taco, Jack in the Box, The Mad Greek Cafe, all the food you need. Gorgeous place with a horrible 22miles of road. Spent two days here with the family and could have easily spent more time lying in the forest with the trees. A very quick and literally breathtaking hike! To the east, Tuzigoot National Monument preserves an ancient hilltop pueblo. Gorgeous park to visit. Old-fashioned shopping district lined with charming, historic art galleries, shops & cafes. No large crowds and the temperature was perfect.

More. The Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon National Park is open from spring through fall. Moro Rock Trail is a 0.25 mile, steep, narrow, out-and-back trail that totals 0.5 mile.
I hope one day to be able to stay at the hotel because a friend if mine did and she invited me to the pool and it was amazing! Cool museum to stop by on our way to Mammoth. The were busy badgers, roaming raccoons, playful otters; so many fun things to view. Just finished a great snow storm a few days back. From this area you're able to walk to the kayak rental area and access the Peavine trail without having to pay the 3 dollar entrance fee.
Such a cool spot that visitors can view from the parking area. Don't bother.

The Visitors Center has a lot of information about the trees, geology of the region, and Edward Shulman who discovered the ages of the oldest trees. I've tried to contact the inn several times over email, phone, and facebook message over the last month and they will not respond, despite posting often on Facebook that they are still open. . And then never go back cause once it hits.. it wont hit again. We were there for the Sammy Hagar concert with a group of 10. You can go fast as 5 or 10 miles per hour.
We camped in the Portuguese Joe campground and the views of Mt.Whitney were visible. Took a 100 plus pics and they barely do this Valhalla any justice. Fabulously curated with TONS of historical artifacts! This tree is HUGE. Plenty of good hiking and rock climbing if youre adventurous. Great little gift shops. National Parks Near Las Vegas. This unique formation is a 600 foot deep inverted volcano. Lake Havasu State Park has beaches with mountain views, plus picnic spots and birdlife. Pack layers as it gets cold fast in the winter. Now, it is a bit of an uphill climb, but its only half a mile. The volcanic magma mixed with an underground spring causing the water to become steam resulting in such high pressure that an explosion occurred.
It is hard to miss this monster a Couples Adventure to Sequoia National Park.
But unlike Skull Rock and some of the other crowded areas of the park, the crowds here didn't really bother me. They do have food offerings and as I visited with just my daughter we enjoyed funnel cake fries and popcorn after our picnic lunch. My husband would've too, but he can't eat gluten. Cedar Grove Lodge is located deep in Kings Canyon at an elevation of 4,600 feet (1402 m). Don't be deceived, even though it is right next to Sequoia National Park there is extra driving especially in the winter time, when some roads are closed. Visit the official website for Grand Canyon Railway. Upgrading to a pet room costs an additional $40 fee per night. The park you can walk through has additional animals that are not shy.

Terrain: To reach the top of the granite dome, climb a 300-ft stairway. meditation garden, and the upper level of the main house which was built for his second wife. The staff was very friendly! 15 minutes off the main route, 71% of way to Grand Canyon National Park. I visited end of April, there was melting snow at the top of the mountain. This intimate little zoo allowed us to see these animals way closer than expected! Harrah's Laughlin (harrahslaughlin.com) offers several amenities aimed at children and families. Beautiful views, fresh air & gigantic trees, we were in awe. . I'm not sure about other seasons but autumn is an excellent time to visit.

Located at the north tip of the Cottonwood Mountains, Ubehebe Crater provides a unique stargazing and the night sky photography experience.
Be ready to be babble with the size of the tree. Make sure you rent a four wheel drive vehicle if visiting during snowy conditions. A ranger suggested hiking down to the bottom of the Crater and it was so fun! Cut-off times are based on the experiences local time. This trail is also quite crowded, but still highly suggest checking this off for your first visit. No asphalt, only rocks and sand! It took them 5 days to respond, during which the lift ticket prices went up.

We had to circle twice in parking lot to find a parking and ended up parking on the side of road near parking lot.
It is not only the largest living, single stem tree in the world, but the largest living organism, by volume, on the planet. The red shuttle runs every 10 minutes however the mask rule is still ridiculous. What a beautiful place to relax, eat something and take one of the many hiking trails. The final lookout has great views of the valley.
The climb back is more difficult but there are several substantial benches for you to stop and catch your breath. One of the best hikes in Death Valley in terms of its uniqueness and scenery, the trail to Ubehebe and Little Hebe craters begins at a large parking area near Scottys Castle.
There is a nice hike that you can do around the lake, it can get quite rugged at times, and you will have to climb over a few boulders along the way, but it is a fun and challenging hike!
In winter, the accessible parking area on the Generals Highway is available for all since there are far fewer visitors (normally you have to park further away). The hike down is around 500 feet down. Our second home away from home. In the center of the park, at the head of Moro Creek, is Moro Rock. It is located between the Giant Forest and Crescent Meadow. Entering from the 10 freeway avoids a long line to get in, though that also puts you farthest from the best parts. Early arrival minimal tourist and snow on the ground trees and Canyon perimeter. Amazing little town lots of antiques stores and perfect for gifts energy flowing is amazing good and hard working people make this town a must stop place on your trip! The thing that puts this zoo ahead of all others I have been to is how closely all of the animals can be viewed. Such a beautiful and magnificent tree to view in person. One of the last stops we made inside the park was Ubehebe Crater, and Im glad we decided to make the drive up to here!. The middle of the trail was covered in snow.
High clearance 4x4 cars very recommended . One of the most picturesque reservoirs in Arizona, Watson Lake is just a few miles away from downtown Prescott. The famous tree is 275 feet tall (but still growing) and around 2,200 years old.

The hotel staff told us that no more vacancy to swop when we saw there were many empty rooms at other levels. Highly recommend. Just under 275-ft. tall, this landmark in Sequoia National Park is among the worlds largest trees. It would jump from 5G to nothing by just going a short distance uphill, downhill or around corners. Yeah gas is $4.99 but at least there is gas. I would really appreciate if they Viator had fight for us for a higher refund since the tour was really terrible. This mighty sequoia is over 2,000 years old.

Surreal, desert basin with wind-pushed rocks that slide & leave tracks after precipitation. It's definitely right up there with Downtown Prescott whiskey row. London Bridge, relocated from England, links the mainland to marinas and a looped path in an area known as the Island.

We came in January and were still able to at least see all of the animals. The town is a base for Devils Postpile National Monument, a formation of basalt columns, and the soaring Rainbow Falls.

We are right off Route 66 on the way to the Grand Canyon, just a short drive from Sedona and Flagstaff. Cannot swim in water due to high mercury I believe but enjoyed walking around and taking in the view. The local operator provides car seats but requires at least 24 hours notice.
We bought the travel package for a 2 night stay and train tickets to the grand canyon. Downtown, historic Whiskey Row is known for its bars and live music venues. Lots of vert beautiful cars on display, some of which were marked for sale. Youll be blown away from its sheer grandiosity. A huge volcanic crater half a mile wide and 600 feet deep was created by steam and gas explosions in the Northwest of Death Valley.
Each of the two trails at the Palatki Heritage Center is just 1/4 of a mile each way so you can easily visit the ruins without expending too much energy or walking too far. The dinner was delicious and I loved the biscuits!
Definitely worth the stop.
Nearby, Audrey Headframe Park has a glass viewing platform over a 1918 mine shaft.
Parking is available. To enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada and its 4,000-metre peaks, climb the 400 steps to the flat summit of Moro Rock, a bald granite dome in the centre of the park. Yep, $4 for all three. Would recommend 2-3 tickets person. I got to see their Christmas light display on their city hall, and it was a bunch of amazing lights set to music. There was also a lot of vintage memorabilia from trophy truck racing to ww2 items. The room was nice and clean. Its an extremely short hike with incredible 360 degree views. We had to spend one hour at the visitors centre aimlessly.
Traveling on business?. Be sure to check the weather and be prepared. There are only a few stones that you can see that have moved so the bone jarring 54 mile road trip drive is just not worth it.

Jerome is a town in central Arizona. Located along South Casino Drive, Harrahs Laughlin resides on 52 acres along the bank of the Colorado River and has two separate towers that include a family and adult only option. Parts of the park are still closed because of the fire and weather but you can still see Grant's Grove which is enough on its own along with the scenic drive. Trails are well done and give great views of the non-stop scenery. Without the donkeys or Heidi's coffee, I'm not very interested. The resort is also on the Colorado River and has a private beach area for its guests. It's clean and the animals seem well taken care of. These towering giants reside in this region because of the ideal conditions: they cannot grow like this anywhere else in the world.
I was able to see hotels at the Grand Canyon park and their rates, and all in all I'm happy we stayed here! This is the biggest tree in the WORLD!. I am glad I booked with Harrah's and didn't listen to reviews. up to 10050ft.

Amazing how the climate can change in 3 miles. The check in staff assigned all our rooms on the same floor super convenient AND the shuttles to the Laughlin Event Center were SUPER convenient.
This is a great place to spend a day. These out-of-the-way, majestic peaks & rock formations are a popular locale for hiking & camping. Volunteers that lead the tours are hit and miss. One of the most popular trails in the park, Moro Rock is found near the entrance of the park. As you experienced, the tour of Antelope Canyon is done by a local Navajo guide in order to give better experience that shows the local culture while promoting the local indigenous population. Viator gave a 10% refund but its not enough to even cover the downgrade of hotels that the tour gave us for 2 nights. I almost bought a lift ticket for my birthday for $54, but ended up paying $72.
Drove 4 hours to see this tree And the giant forest in the sequoia National park It was so beautiful! Lots of 'grammable spots!You can go in the pueblo and immerse yourself in this historic architecture as well! It's known for the Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain ski areas and nearby trails. Truly awesome walk through film history in the Lone Pine area. Honestly I love this place. This particular review is regarding the scenic overlook parking area approximately a 1/2 mile north of Prescott lakes parkway on highway 89. This is around the corner from Scottys Castle and is available for photography. There is a 1/2 mile walking trail that leads visitors down towards the General Sherman Tree. They do a good job of making sure the guests are spaced apart ( I went on a Wednesday morning so it was pretty sparse anyway) , and the tour is self guided using your phone. This place is an absolute MUST!!!! If you have any questions about the hiking routes or the giant sequoias, ask a ranger at the Giant Forest Museum before venturing outside to explore. .

The lake is a favorite picnic spot, hiking destination and fishing location, featuring, several launch docks and complimentary fish-gutting facilities. Highly recommend especially if you have or get a players card which is also free. The trees are awesome.
Antelope Canyon has capacity limitations and depending on group size the entrances must be staggered, because of this the whole group does not enter together by design. I can't say there isn't site big enough for our camper but probably hard to find because it is very popular camp site. Love this place. Yes - Please notate that you will be bringing a stroller with approximate folded dimensions in the "Special Requirements" box at checkout if you plan to bring one.
